Thai junta announced the government to step down from power in 2017

Junta chief Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha reiterated that he would transfer power to the new civilian government in 2017. This transfer is the 2nd phase of the reform government junta to restore political stability and toward 2017 elections.

It's the promise of the Thai military leaders after strategic talks between Thailand and the United States on Wednesday 17 December, including trade since up to regional security and issues across the Asia and the Pacific.
